This
is my first time purchasing from Diskovery. What
do I need to do to qualify for “Academic Priced”
products?
Faculty, Staff and Post-Secondary Students must provide
two forms of ID, one, which must be dated and show current
status at an accredited academic institution. Refer
to Academic Eligibility Requirements for additional
information.
I have purchased before from Diskovery;
do I need to send my ID again?
You do not need to send in your ID again, if you had previously
orderedduring the past school year, sent in your ID and
have been approved.You would have to resubmit your ID
if:a. It is over one year old b. ID was valid for the
previous school year. i.e.: School Year starting August
1999 - June 2000 and you place an order in September of
2000. Since this is the start of a new school year, we
must receive new ID information.
I am not purchasing “Academic Priced”
products. Do I still need to provide my ID?
No, you do not need to provide ID, as long as you are
not ordering products that indicate “Verification
ID Required” and/or where the term “academic”
is referred to or within the product
For my personal purchase, may I purchase
more than one of the same title that is “Academically
Price”?
No, you may not purchase more than one title at academic
pricing in a year, unless there was a new version released.
For example: You may purchase only one copy of Adobe Illustrator
8.0 within a year time frame from the date of purchase.
During the year Adobe releases Illustrator 9.0.
You may purchase Illustrator 9.0 since it is a new version
released during the year. Though you may only purchase
one title per year does not limit you to purchase a number
of different titles from the same publisher. Example:
Though you purchased Adobe Illustrator, you still may
purchase one copy each of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign.
As an individual, may I order a site
license product?
Individuals may not order site license products.
I am a high school student and want
to order some “Academic Priced” products, do
I qualify?
Some software publishers allow high students to purchase
“Academic Priced” products. Since qualifications
vary, it would be in your best interest to contact a Diskovery
Academic Partner directly at 800-331-5489, to discuss
situation.
How may I pay for my order?
Payment
by credit card (MasterCard, Discover or VISA only),
a money order, cashier’s check or personal check
is accepted. Please note that within the state of Florida
and Kentucky, local sales tax for the delivery address
will be added to personal orders, even if the purchaser
is employed by a public education institution.
Orders paid by personal check will not be processed
until the check has cleared the bank.
Accredited
Academic Institutional Orders:
Are telephone orders accepted?
Telephone orders may be placed to secure product and
start the order process. Orders will not be shipped
until the telephone order is followed by a confirming
signed hard copy of a purchase order either faxed or
mailed to Diskovery. If orders are being placed
with a school credit card, then the order will be processed
and shipped.
What are Diskovery’s terms for
purchase orders?
Accredited public academic institutions terms of net
30 days
Our
school has never purchased from Diskovery before; will
you accept a purchase order?
Yes,
we accept purchase orders and extend accredited public
academic institutions terms of net 30 days. If
you are a private school a credit application may be
required. s
It there finance charge for late payments?
Yes, payments over 60 days are subject to a monthly
1.5% finance charge.
Do you accept school credit cards?
Yes, we accept school VISA, MasterCard and Discover
cards. For the schools protection, we need either
to have the school forward to us their credit card usage
policy and/or complete Diskovery’s School Credit
Card Verification form.
