Standard Orders

 
  • Orders received by 2:00pm EST are processed for shipment same day. 

  • In-stock items are shipped either within the same day or within 24 hours of receiving order.

  • Back ordered items are not charged to credit cards until shipped.

  • Back ordered items usually ship within seven (7) working days.

  • Situations do exist where an item back ordered may be delayed longer than expected due to manufacturing delays, new product releases, import regulations or other unforeseen circumstances. 

 

 

Site License Orders

Site License order fulfillment averages 1-3 weeks depending upon the publisher.  Site Licensing is customizable and issued exclusively for the institution.  The following factors contribute to the fulfillment of a site license order: issuance of contract numbers, serial numbers, and verification of previous established license.  There are also site licenses that are contract based and may require review and executable signatures by both the institution and publisher before a license can be issued.

 

 

Special Orders

Special Orders are items that we can obtain but do not stock in our inventory.  Availability of these items is dependent upon the source.Conditions that may accompany special orders can consist of: order prepayment; items may not be returned; items may not be canceled once order is placed.

Personal Orders
 
  • VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card- Credit cards are not charged until the day the products ships.

  • Money Order, cashier checks and personal checks must be mailed.

  • Orders against personal checks will not ship till check clears.

  • Diskovery does not ship COD 
 

 
Accredited Academic Institutions
 
  • Purchase Orders  - are extended terms of net 30 days - Verification of state education accreditation certificate may be required.

  • School Credit Cards – VISA, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card - Requires verification from the school that individual using credit card is qualified.

  • Institution should fax credit card usage procedures to 561/683-8416 and/or obtain from Diskovery a School Credit Card Usage Verification Form.

  • Pre-Payment - School Checks

 
Purchase Orders should include:
 
  • Product description, operating system type (i.e.: Windows 98 or MacOS), quantity and price

  • Contact name in purchasing and the name of the actual end-user

  • Telephone number of buyer and actual end-user that we may contact for questions relating to order
 

 
 
Private Schools
 
  • First order requires prepayment.

  • Credit application required to established terms.
 

 
Government Agencies
 
  • Purchase Orders - extended terms of Net 30 Days

  • State, local and federal government agencies qualify.
 

 
Corporate Orders
 
  • Pre-payment required.

  • Purchase Orders accepted from Fortune 100 companies received terms of Net 30 Days.

  • Diskovery does not ship COD.

Prices Subject To Change  

Diskovery quotes are normally valid for thirty days. It is our intention to have pricing remain firm, but note that pricing is reviewed on a 30-day basis.   Due to the abrupt market conditions within the computer industry such as mergers, vendor policy changes and unanticipated new product releases or product changes within any given thirty day period, the possibility exist of price increases, decreases or items being discontinued.   Please verify prices if there is a delay between the quote and the order.
Prices are subject to change without notice.  Please note that software publishers and hardware manufacturers will not provide price protection especially without a quantity purchase commitment.



Errors and Omissions

While it is in good faith that the information and pricing listed on our web site and within any printed material is accurate, we are not responsible for typographical errors or technical inaccuracies.

 

 

Shipping Services  

We realize the delivery of your shipment is crucial, so we utilize the two most dependable shipping services available: UPS and FedEx.  We have partnered with these two firms because of their continued commitment to quality, speed, reliability and customer service.
Shipping destinations must be to a street address.
UPS and FedEx usually deliver residential deliveries at the end of the day.

 

UPS Ground Service - This is our standard delivery method
 
  • Software/Books - Shipping/Handling charges are $10.00 for the first item and $3.00 for each subsequent item.

  • Large software orders are figured by weight and charged accordingly.

  • Peripherals, monitors, hardware and accessories shipping costs may be figured and charged by weight.
 

 
FedEX Service
 
  • FedEx Priority Overnight Service - delivers by 10:30 a.m. the next business morning

  • FedEx Standard Overnight Service - delivers by 4 p.m. the next business day

  • FedEx Economy Two-Day Service - delivers in 2 business days

  • FedEx Saturday Overnight Service - delivers by 3 p.m. on Saturday

  • These services are available upon request at an additional charge. These charges vary with weight and destination.
 

 

Drop Shipments

Situations requiring expedited shipment directly from manufacturer/publisher may consist of additional charges.

 

 

Delivery Service Outside Territorial United States

Deliveries to Canada, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Alaska are at additional charges. Please ask for shipping details to these destinations. Canadian and Puerto Rico customers are responsible for any tariffs/duty. These are paid at the destination.

 

 
Shipment Discrepancies
 
  • Discrepancies with shipment or short shipments must be made within five (5) business days of receipt of product.

  • Discrepancies and claims for loss/damaged shipments must be made within five (5) business days of receipt of product.

  • Proof of Delivery requests and other discrepancies must be made to Diskovery within 30 days of the invoice date.
 

 

Damage

If UPS, FedEx or any other delivery service delivers cartons that are obviously damaged during shipping, refuse the cartons that are damaged and contact Diskovery regarding such actions.

 

 

Return Policy

Authorized returns are accepted within 30 Days from date of invoicing. 
Contact customer service for Return Authorization (RA) Number and instructions:  561/683-8410 x19.

Returns must be received within 15 days of issue date of RA number.
Items returned without a RA number will not be accepted. 

Discrepancies with shipment or invoicing and claims for loss/damaged shipments must be made within (5) business days of receipt of product. 

Non-defective items are to be in resellable condition, complete and unopened.  Items must be within the original packaging.  No returns will be accepted for opened software unless product is defective. 

Package all returns in a proper shipping box with packing material to prevent damage in shipment.  Do not write RA or addresses on the outside of the manufacturers’ boxes.

Defective product returns are dependent upon the software publisher and manufacturer's product warranty and policies. 

A credit memo will be issued for use against future orders when return is received and approved.

If Purchaser is returning an order due to mistakenly ordering an item, not clearly indicating item to be ordered or decided did not want the item are subject to 15% restocking fee. 

Purchaser, if ordered incorrect item and is returning in exchange for a replacement product, is then responsible for replacement shipping/handling charges.  This shipping/handling cost also applies to bid situations where shipping is included within the original shipment.  If items on a bid were ordered incorrectly, the Purchaser will be charged and responsible for paying the shipping/handling cost for replacement order.

Original shipping charges and returns costs are the responsibility of the Purchaser.

Some items such as Hardware, Network Products and Software Product/Licenses, Lab Packs, Site Licenses and Special Order Items may not be returnable.

If Diskovery incorrectly fulfills and ships the wrong items of your order we will either credit the Purchaser for cost associated with returning the RA as per our shipping instructions or we will issue a call tag and have UPS pick up the item for return shipment.  Diskovery will assume the cost and determine the shipping method to replace product. It is the Purchaser responsibility to package the product correctly for return. 

Diskovery ships replacement product upon receiving and accepting the return of the authorized items that and RA has been issued against.

When shipping to Diskovery, it is recommended to use a service such as UPS for it packages tracking capabilities. Return policies are subject to change.    

 

 

Warranty Information

The Purchaser is entitled to the manufacturer's/publishers product warranties, if any, that accompanies the product. Diskovery Educational Systems (Seller) makes no additional or independent warranties whatsoever. Seller’s sole obligation (and Purchaser’s sole remedy) in the event of breach of any warranty shall be the repair or replacement of defective products.Diskovery Educational Systems does not warrant the performance or integrity of any Product, but merely passes through to the Purchaser whatever end-user warranty the manufacturers or software publishers provide with their respective Products.

DISKOVERY EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF USE, LOST DATA, LOST PROFITS OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND OR NATURE ALLEGED TO HAVE RESULTED FROM IN ANY WAY FROM BREACH OF WARRANTY OR WARRANTY AGREEMENT CONNECTED WITH THE PRODUCTS.  DISKOVERY EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS DOES NOT WARRANT, EXPRESS OR IMPLY THE PRODUCT OR THEIR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.



Year 2000 Compliance

Diskovery Educational Systems is a Seller of software and computer products in the United States and Canada. As such, we represent many different publishers and manufacturers. Year 2000 compliance is based upon individual vendors' product programming, interfacing and testing capabilities. We are not always kept aware of each vendor's Year 2000 compliance activities nor can we warranty any such matters.  DISKOVERY EDUCATIONAL SYSTEMS CANNOT AND DOES NOT REPRESENT OR WARRANT THAT ANY PRODUCT IT SELLS OR REPRESENTS IS FREE FROM ERRORS RESULTING FROM THE TURN OF THE CENTURY (THE YEAR 2000).  There are varying factors that can be responsible for Year 2000 compliance: Software, Hardware, Operating Systems, Custom Code, Runtime Library, and Data Interfaces. Because of this, Diskovery Educational Systems strongly recommends that the Purchaser needing to verify Year 2000 compliance refer their questions to each software publisher or manufacturer of the product in question.

STATEMENTS MADE TO YOU IN THE COURSE OF ANY PRIOR, CURRENT, OR FUTURE SALE ARE SUBJECT TO THE YEAR 2000 INFORMATION AND READINESS DISCLOSURE ACT, (___U.S. C.___) (P.L. 105-271).
